Ew. Fitness. NO! Don't think that way! Fitness is a great thing, right!? I have a short fitness tip today. As a matter of fact that's what my tip is! Being fast, squeezing in a workout when you can, and filling little time slots throughout the day with a mini-workout. You can easily burn 100 calories in as little as ten minutes. Not only that, but you can bust up those ten minutes and do a little here and there. I know it doesn't sound like much, but it's a start. Getting a little workout in can give you a burst of energy and doing a little can build your confidence into doing more. Did you know that 10 minutes of jumping rope ( I am the jump rope queen, just ask my students) is the same as a 30 minute jog or a six mile bike ride?! HOLY COW BATMAN! I know, you're scrounging around in your kids toy box right now. It's true, though! In just ten minutes of hopping up and down and twirling a rope around you, you can get in some awesome cardio! Don't have ten minutes? What about while that pasta boils? Are you just standing around the kitchen? Walk in place, do some push ups, crunches, dance around with your sweeties, do high knees, you name it! Think of all the times you are either sitting or standing around during the day. What could you do in just those few seconds or minutes to get your heart rate up? Yes, you may look like a fool, but I can assure you that you will not regret it.
